Ocean Highway Ferry Terminal, Norfolk, VAIn 1956, the year I was born, my parents took a car trip to South Carolina to visit relatives. On the way north they used the RT 13 Ocean Highway which was the eastern shore route before the Chesapeake Bay Bridge-Tunnel was built. At the northbound ferry terminal in Norfolk ,VA the Pennsylvania RR also had a car float terminal, the freight cars which can be seen at the left. Scanned from 35mm slides from my parents collection.
