Despite the presence of part owner KCS' unit behind the two Tex Mex Railway's GP38-2 captured in Corpus Christi TX in the late '90s, it would have been difficult to foretell how important this 150 mile long short line connecting Laredo to Corpus Christ would become to today\'s sprawling almost $3B in revenue KCS system.
