Venerable "Toaster" with indicators...

I always loved the hustle delivered from the AEM-7's on 4-axles. I believe this one with the small bear on the side is an indicator of the fact it once struck one?! Here the 935 prepares to depart New Haven southbound.

Hi, John, I'm thinking the bear on the side may be related to the location of Amtrak's electric locomotive service facility in Delaware, and that possibly even the safety slogan above the bear may relate to the shop workers as well. Just a thought and based on some vague recollection of something I saw somewhere once upon a time.

Most likely a reference to Bear, DE, where Amtrak's Northeast Corridor electric shops are located. I've seen a similar but different bear logo on some other equipment as well.
