Roseville Bound.

An SP train out of West Colton, is climbing Cajon Pass, approaching Hiland, CA, on the Palmdale Cutoff. The area is known to most as Summit, the station name on the paralleling, east/ west ATSF/UP line, which had been built much earlier. This train will continue to climb even higher, eventually curving northward, toward Tehachapi and the Central Valley. As all SP trains are considered to be; either moving toward or away from number one Market Street, San Francisco, this train is timetable westbound.
