Matapedia- Gaspe train.

Within minutes the train to Gaspe is crossing under the Quebec end of the Interprovincial Bridge. The steam generator car made it possible to use any of the freight road switchers assigned to near by Campbellton. At the time there was little concern for a Ford Bronco with Massachusetts plates, stopped on the bridge.

Visitor Comments about this Photo:

Looks like a healthy revenue consist headed for Gaspe - perhaps due to the summer tourist season? And speaking of summer, it's curious to see a steam generator car in use in July although apparently average Atlantic Ocean water temp at Gaspe runs around 60 degrees in July (maybe ocean was colder in the '70s), Good stuff!
