Posted by Stephen Demboske on 2020-08-05 22:40:51 I suspect the reason the 667 is along is that Amtrak expected 9or maybe just hoped) that the power would be back when this trainset returned west out of Boston and would need an ACS-64 to pull it. i believe the diesels have a lower top speed than the ACS-64's. At any rate they find it difficult to maintain the schedules laid out for electric locomotives. 174 here as nearly 15 minutes late into Kingston.
