ex-CN FP9A units at Spadina Ave Roundhouse Toronto

CN has spun off all of its passenger rolling stock and power to Via Rail by the time of this photo in the summer of 1978 (I think) FP9A 6529 (class GPA-17d), built in 1957, is a year older than its mate 6541 (GPA-17e), and exhibits a couple of spotting differences, specifically 6529 lacks cab roof mounted strobe lights and has smaller roof fans and winterization hatch.

Photographed by John Barlow, 1978.
Added to the photo archive by John Barlow, June 5, 2020.
Railroad: VIA.
