Erie Lackawanna Drill on Track 6 in Montclair Terminal

EL 930 (RS3) has now worked its way over to track 6 on the Montclair Terminal in prepariton for running around the 2 empties and then adding them to its train before heading east on the Montclair branch. The hopper on this end appears to be C&O, the other is clearly Reading. I no longer recall where this drill (Lackawanna term for local freight0 originated; I suspect it was already Croxton, but it might still have been Harrison or Hoboken in former DL&W yards.
If I recall correctly, an extra operator would be sent to Montclair tower to handle the rare freight moves after the tower was closed and all passenger moves were to and from track 1. Today all this is gone. On the terminal side of the Grove Street overpass here is shopping and parking making use of the old terminal station building. On this side of Grove St is street level parking. There still appears to be a hump in Grove St on Google street view, so perhaps the viaduct was buried rather than completely removed. NJ Transi't Montclair connection is a block or 2 behind this photo location, joining this DL&W Montclair Branch to the Erie's Greenwood Lake branch which ran just a few blocks to the north.
