Erie Lackawanna Rush Hour in Glen Ridge, NJ - Mid 1960's

A westbound Erie Lackawanna commuter train has stopped at Glen Ridge, NJ and rush hour commuters exit the train and head for the stairs leading to Ridgewood Ave. Glen Ridge was the next to last station on the old DL&W branch to Montclair. Today this line is still used as part of NJ Transit's Montclair-Boonton line. The buildings along Ridgewood Ave. are unchanged since this view circa 1965 (see my fall of 2019 photo about 10 tabs back)

Photographed by Warren Beckwith, 1965.
