Short Amtrak Corridor Train in North Kingstown, RI 1972

PC 4263 (ex PRR E8A) leads a 3-car train along the former New Haven mainline somewhere in North Kingstown, RI on the day after Christmas, 1972. Although the day is a too grey to cast definitive shadows, this looks to be an eastbound train, as the nose is a bit darker than the rest.

Photographed by Warren Beckwith, December 26, 1972.

Railroad: Amtrak/Northeast Corridor.

I think you're correct about the train's direction, Warren, as the code line appears to be alongside the eastbound track in the various NH photos from Kingstown area I've seen. Here's a such a web site: https://sites.google.com/site/rhodeislandrailroads/home/east-providence-south-of-india-point/east-providence-north-of-india-point/pw-b-route/valley-falls/woonsocket/pascoag-line/hartford-line/main-line/pawtuxet-valley/buttonwoods/warwick/wickford/kingsto
