Westbound EL Freight Pulling Into Port Jervis, NY - Aug 1967

EL 2569 brings a westbound freight off the grade down from Otisville Tunnel and into Port Jervis, NY. on a late August morning in 1967. I don't recall whether the 2 men beside the train have any connection with it, but they make for a better photo. Also not sure if the haze beside the train is brake shoe smoke after the steep descent from Otisville. Erie-Lackawanna 4-axle 2nd generation power was often used in 3-unit sets at the time; this train appears to have 2 sets. If this were early in the week, especially a Monday, this could be a power-balancing move to get power not needed early in the week at Croxton back west where it was needed. Such moves were common.
