LV's once great passenger car fleet - 2

In February 1970, an EL hook had somehow toppled over on the super-elevated curve just west of the Main St crossing in Owego so EL brought in 2 more hooks to right the errant crane. On the east side of the rollover was an EL hook while on the west side EL summoned LV's Industrial Brownhoist crane from Sayre, fairly immaculate LV tool car 94061 is on the west end of the LV consist. 94061 began life in 1927 built by Pullman as a heavyweight Observation Parlor Solarium "Harriet". LV purchased "harriet" in 1940 and re-lettered it as car 1553. In 1954, 1553 was streamlined and once LV passenger service expired in 1961, it became tool car 94061. Unfortunately 94061 was scrapped in 2008 by Southern RR of NJ.
