"The Northland" arrives Toronto in summer 1974 - 1

Before Via, CN and Ontario Northland teamed up to operate an overnight train from Kapuskasing ON to Toronto originating on CN before turning south onto ONR at Cochrane and finally returning to CN rails at North Bay. In the summer of 1974, I captured \"The Northland\" from the poorly lit side of the eclectic 10 car consist led by ONR FP7 and CN FPA4 as it entered Toronto Union Station. Interesting operation: Train departed Kapuskasing with CN MLW and 3 or so cars, picked up a grill lounge at Cochrane, cars from Timmins at Porquis, and the ONR FP7 and car(s) from Noranda at Englehart
