AMTK 406 Leads Train 696 into Saco, ME

AMTK 406, the only NPCU without '90' in front of its former F40PH number, leads train 696 across Maine's Rte 9 as it approaches the Saco station. The Saco station is located on Factory Island; Pan Am's grade crossing with ME 9 is located on the bridge over the channel of the Saco River that separates Factory Island and the depot from the rest of Saco.
It is possible to see/photograph all 3 Downeaster trainsets in a little over 2 hours on a weekend afternoon, as trains 694 (3rd set to leave Brunswick) and train 696 (2nd trip for 1st set to leave Brunswick) are split by train 693 with the 2nd set to leave Brunswick on a given day.
