NJ Transit 4641 (ALP-46) leads eastbound train 6238 under the impressive Freeman Pkwy bridge as it approaches train 6245, which is holding for 6238 at the Glen Ridge, NJ station as the westbound track is out of service for track work somewhere in Montclair. The engineer on 6245 waits patiently to proceed west to Montclair State Univ. to finish his work day. The Freeman Pkwy bridge appears quite typical of concrete arch bridge construction. It links a residential area with Bloomfield Ave., which hosted street car service to Newark at the time the bridge was constructed.
