NJ Transit Train 6245 Climbing the Ridge into Glen Ridge

NJT 6060 (Comet 5 control cab) leads train 6245 up the hill out of Bloomfield into Glen Ridge on its trip from Penn Station in New York to Montclair St. University on the old Erie Greenwood Lake Branch. Montclair St. University is a new station, replacing the old station at Great Notch a short distance west, at the point where the Caldwell Branch left the Greenwood Lake main. NJ Transit's Montclair/Boonton line uses the former Lackawanna Montclair Branch through Bloomfield and Glen Ridge and a few block into Montclair.
