The Invasion Of Plainfield

A Railroad Enthusiasts trip dubbed "The Spring Foliage Jamboree" ran Boston, Back Bay, Norwood Central and Blackstone in Massachusetts and on to Putnam, Willimantic, Manchester and Hartford, returning via the Valley line to Middletown, thence via the Airline to Cedar Hill Yard and New Haven in Connecticut and then via the Shoreline to Providence, Back Bay and back to Boston hauled all the way by an RS-3. This scene of controlled pandemonium was shot at Plainfield, CT. Adding to the excitement, but mostly hidden by the excursion train, was a RS-1 hauled local job on an adjacent track.
