Not a great photo but the horsepower shown in this power set is remarkable for 1970. Captured at UP engine facilities at Omaha, 3 GE U50s, 1 DD40AX, and a dynamic brakeless GP9 (how did that locomotive get in with this crowd?) appear to be MU'ed together. Coming from the EL Southern Tier region, I thought 2 7200 horsepower of a pair of SD45s was a lot of muscle.
