Bad Day at Richmondville Siding - 1

Richmondville siding on the NS D&H line is 7400 feet long. In July of 2018, an unfortunate event occurred at the controlled siding where opposing trains, each a skosh longer than the advertised siding length, had a standoff. In this photo, the head end of northbound intermodal train 22K waits for the marker of southbound manifest 11R to clear the foul point at the CP-526 interlocking but 11R has stopped because it can't get past the 22K's marker!
