The action at Sayre, Pennsylvania appears comfortably familiar. But, its a couple weeks into the merger and this train has just come off former EL rails at Waverly, New York.

Excellent capture if very sad - as a youth I spent many hours on the pedestrian bridge in the background in the '60s. I was living in Rochester when Conrail happened and one of the 1st trains I saw shortly after 4/1/76 on the PC mainline at Bergen NY was an eastbound manifest led by 3 LV GEs that I assumed had been re-routed off the LV's upstate NY mainline. Glad you caught this piece of history.
