LV Horseheads Local returns home to Sayre

Prior to Conrail, LV used to reach customers stranded on their former Elmira, Cortland, and Northern line at Horseheads via a local turn that used trackage rights over EL between Waverly NY and Horseheads about 18 miles west. Here an LV SW8 leads the turn job home at past the EL depot at Waverly in rainy weather and is about to take the LV connector to Sayre yard, about a mile distant.
