Dashing Through The Snow

First Virginian Class EL-C, then New Haven Class EF-5, then Penn Central Class E33, and then Conrail. Number 4478, here shown in the snow with two of her sisters at Seabrook, Maryland, will end its journey in Potomac Yard. These and ex-Pennsylvania E-44s and freight-geared GG-1s will soon be out of a job because Conrail will end electric freight haulage on this line line in only two more years.

Photographed by Ron DeFilippo, 1979.
Added to the photo archive by Ron DeFilippo, October 18, 2019.
Railroad: Conrail.
