Amtrak Acela 2024, operating as train 2163, emerges from under RI highway 138 on Track 3 as it heads west. With track 2 out of service, train 2163 is utilizing track 3 to get around train 170, stopped on track 1. Train 2163 did not pass through on track 3 at anything near the speed at which observers at Kingston Station are used to seeing Acelas pass, which made it possible to get a fair number of photos of this unusual event.
