Builder's photo, B&A "Mastodon", Schnectady-1899

The B&A tried out 10 Mastodons, which proved to be not very popular with crews and were out of service after about 10 years. Compare withe Norfolk & Western which rostered about 275 units of varying type/sizes. N&W 475 is alive and well on the Strasburg.
