The D&H Invasion

Wow, Alcos, GEs what a treat after train after years of blue EMDs. The D&H was left out of Conrail so why not join forces with another independent, the B&M. It was still another year before the B&M was absorbed by Guilford and two more years before the D&H was included. For now on train watching was different locally and it was time to dust off that old Diesel Spotters Guide. Here an Alco C-420 leads a GE and EMD unit running light at Ayer.
