Eastbound LV Freight departs Sayre

In the summer of 1968, a pair of C628s is departing railroad-east at the south end of Sayre yard. Ahead of the caboose, behind a long cut of empty coal hoppers (perhaps headed for PRR interchange at Wilkes-Barre?) are two flats containing US Army tanks.

Photographed by John Barlow, 1968.
