It's a late July afternoon as Amtrak 48, the NYC bound section of the Lake Shore Limited, glides south along the Hudson River about to pass under the Bear Mountain Bridge, certainly one of scenic highlights of 48's journey (and a great place to photograph the frequent passage of CSX, Amtrak, and Metro North trains). The ten car 48 is led by one of Amtrak's 18 P32AC-DM locomotives outfitted with 3rd rail shoes for operation into NYP.
