Sperry Rail Service #127

Here, just crossing Willows Road in Ayer, is SRS #127 heading west checking for any defective rails. This car could be considered as being on its home rails since, according to TrainWeb, it was originally bought by the B&M in 1926 and carried the number 1151 when it was acquired by Sperry in 1939. Walthers chose this as a prototype for its HO model.
