Open Air Armstrong Interlocking Plant

Note the complicated switch work in the foreground. It was controlled from a switchmnan\'s ground-level shanty with levers activating rods to the switch points. I think it essentially controlled the throat of the large yard that was between Commonwealth Pier and Summer St.
