NJ Transit Eastbound in Montclair, NJNJ Transit Train 6238, led by NJT 4662 (ALP-46), enters the 'new' (in 2002) connector leading from the old Erie Greenwood Lake Branch to the DL&W Montclair Branch. While on the connector it will stop at Bay Street a few blocks ahead. Bay Street replace the 6-track Lackawanna terminal in Montclair several years before the the connection was built. This train is about to make its 6th stop in Montclair on its run from Montclair State Univ. station, which is physically in Little Falls, NJ, to Penn Station in New York City. The rusty track in the foreground is the remains of the former Erie Greenwood Lake branch.
