The Merchants At Providence

Single FL-9 #2055 heads the Merchants Limited at Providence on the final leg of its journey to Boston. The Merchants carried no head end business, so it was able to make its trip faster than most of the other GCT New York to Boston trains. Tonight it looks like the consist is smaller than usual, only a single unit will do the job.

Photographed by Ron DeFilippo, November, 1967.

Railroad: New Haven.
