It was a dark and stormy night when received call from second trick chief that..." NY-10 had derailed two cars and their caboose...one went down the bank into the river and floated downstream and caught in the dam..." Photo taken next morning showing loaded carbon black covered hopper (gross 90 tons) did indeed do just that. Earlier postings show recovery.
