Simultaneous Departure

For a while New Haven's Gilt Edge (right) and Penn Central's #427 (left) both departed South Station Boston at 4PM. Glinting in the waning light is a Santa Fe RPO along with a New Haven RPO. Still needed the RPOs in the east at this date. #427 replaced the New England States, I think. The sunset is appropriate. Next month it would be all Penn Central.
