Newburyport branch

In the early 1980s the Boston & Maine line between Wakefield Junction and Danvers, MA, was known as the Newburyport Branch even though it no longer went anywhere near Newburyport, and the local freight that served it out of Lawrence was known as the Salem Switcher. As it began a trip up the branch GP7 1567 ran around its train in front of the Wakefield Center station, which last saw passenger service in 1959.
