I'm throwing this in to see if anyone looks at my photos. Taken in early seventies and on one of the roads that is now part of the VRS. To qualify for correct answer you need to ID location and RR.

After spending a few hours surfing Google Maps, Google Earth, a looking at a few hundred NERAIL photos and Google images, I'm guessing this photo is looking west on the D&H at Castleton VT. The Castleton depot and junction with D&H's Rutland & Washington Branch. And the building on the right, next to the TP&W covered hopper, would have been a feed mill (building was demolished sometime after September 2003)? If any of the above is true,today this line is operated by VRS between CP connection at Whitehall NY and Rutland (and features Amtrak's daily Ethan Allen).
