Westbound Oil Empties Pass Eastbound Stack Train

NS 4081 (AC44C6M) and NS 8171 (ES44AC) lead an empty crude oil train toward the Brickyard Crossing in Altoona, PA as the rear of the preceding eastbound stack train passes. NS 4081 was converted to AC power at Juniata shops just down the hill in Altoona, being released in March, 2018 according to NSDash9.com. Although it is not visible in this photo, its cab carries the AC wave logo used on NS homemade conversions. The rear buffer car on the train was a Soo Line covered hopper, suggesting the train is headed back to North Dakota for a refill.
