NS 9670 (Dash 9-44CW) and NS 2644 (SD70M) lead a westbound long stack train west past the former Brickyard on the west side of Altoona. Westbound trains slow noticeably passing this point as an increasing portion of the train moves onto the grade leading to Horseshoe Curve and Gallitzin. The 2 units here had the assistnace of a pair of helpers shoving on the rear.
