An eastbound, from Mechanicville, leaves Hoosac Tunnel for the run down the Deerfield valley to East Deerfield, MA.
In a less "connected" era, listening in at an unlocked phone box was as good as it got. Sleeping bag "accommodations" allowed one to be "in position" when the first train emerged.
