Weyerhaeuser Woods Railroad and Columbia and Cowlitz Ry. shared trackage from the mill complex to a junction north of Kelso, WA. From there the logging trains proceeded to a load out further to the northeast. At the time this was taken a lot of the inbound logs came from trees "felled" by the eruption of Mount St. Helens, 3 years earlier..
