Train 86's Arrival in Kingston, RI, Was Well Recorded

AMTK 604 (ACS-64) brings Amtrak train 86 past at least 2 other persons, besides myself recording its arrival as it pulls into Kingston about 10 minutes late. It was running against the normal flow of traffic because Acela 2160 behind it was closer to on time.

Must be a very photogenic locomotive! Q: how did Amtrak manage to get the boarding passengers to the appropriate platform that is generally used by NYP-bound trains (ie, I would have thought the non-stopping Acela would be routed on track 1.)?
