WW&F #9 Preparing to Run Around Its TrainWith the fireman riding the footboards to handle the switch, WW&F #9 approaches the south end of the restored track in front of the rebuilt 2nd Sheepscot station. The man on the footboards was not a giant; these 2-foot gauge engines are small. #9 worked for the original WW&F before it was abondoned in 1933, so the route is an old home. Before to the original WW&F, it had worked for the Sandy River, the Sandy River and Rangeley Lakes, and the Kennebec Central.
