Off the Broad Way...

This is former Pennsylvania RR sleeper-lounge-observation "Tower View" in retirement at the Railroad Museum of Pennsylvania in Strasburg. It and its sister car "Mountain View" were built by Pullman-Standard as the feature cars for the 1948 edition of the railroad's flagship "Broadway Limited".

After leaving the "Broadway" at the end of 1967, the two cars spent time as the tail cars on the Seaboard Coast Line's seasonal "Florida Special" before their final retirement. The "Mountain View" also survives into 2018 on display at the Railroader's Memorial Museum in Altoona, Pa.
