Providence-bound PA

Three of the MBTA's leased Delaware & Hudson PAs normally covered the Framingham service. When all four were available, the fourth often ran to Providence as the second unit behind an E8. (They couldn't lead on the corridor because they lacked cab signals.) MBTA 4261 and D&H 16 prepared to depart South Station for Providence at dusk on a winter evening.
