New Liberty Interlocking Signals Now Operational in West Kingston

AMTK 951 (ACS-64) leads train 161 west out of Kingston station. Ahead, part way down the tunnel of catenary supports, can be seen the new lights protecting the new Liberty Interlocking at the west of end of the new track 3. Farther ahead of the train you may be able to make out the 2 disks of the eastbound track 1 home signal and, close to its right, the old approach signal for Kingston interlocking with its head turned sidewards. Part of the disks for the eastbound home signal for Liberty are visible just inside all the catenary supports.
<BR>As of Saturday afternoon, track 3 was still not in service: the eastbound home signal for track 3 at Kingston was still facing sideward and the feed wire for the track 3 catenary in the station was grounded to a support wire.
