MVRR 8

Moshassuck Valley 8 (GE 300HP 50 tonner) moves a car toward the Watt Terminal warehouses at Saylesville in Lincoln, RI. The engine house once held 0-4-0 6 and 0-6-0 7 until No 8 arrived in 1951 and No. 9 in 1962. The steamers were held as spares for a short while but because for a number of years No. 8 worked alone, a New Haven 45 tonner would substitute when 8 was unavailable.
