WOOD BURNING SHAY

The 16" gauge PINCONNING AND BLIND RIVER RAILROAD boasted a wood burning SHAY locomotive completed in 1971 by the line's owner, E. Carrington Eddy. Here it is being fired up with fragrant wood smoke pouring from the stack. You can view its construction and later watch it doing real work hauling logs and pushing a rotary snow plow in this video:
