CHARLES STREET - PROVIDENCE

I shot the New Haven power at the remains of the Charles Street roundhouse which eventually was buried under a highway. When I first started biking the five miles to the engine terminal, the roundhouse was intact and still housed J-1 2-8-2 3020. Before my solo visits my father would drive to Charles Street to let me watch steam being serviced. Photo date uncertain.
