elegant visitorFrom October 1977 to October 1978, the MBTA leased the four Delaware & Hudson Alco PAs that had been displaced from Amtrak's Adirondack by Turbos, to help with a shortage of commuter power in Boston. The railfan favorites were usually found on the three rush hour Framingham trains. During its first week of MBTA service, D&H 18 pulls out of South Station for Framingham with a train of ex-New Haven coaches.
