Since my last trip here in 1999, there have been several smaller rail companies added to the German rails. Many are regional transportation authorities (their versions of MBTA/BART, etc). The TaunusBahn (TSB) operates northwest of Frankfurt as a commuter rail with a limited schedule. They operate diesel rail cars.
