VTR B&R action -- Sunday January 15, 2017

The freshly painted 431 makes its B&R debut southbound through the Battenkill Valley on Sunday January 15. The "candy-cane" colors certainly are enhanced by today's abundant sunshine and moderate temperatures as a large contingent of Kodachrome "Sunday worshipers" followed the eclectic mix of power and 28 cars. The crew will ultimately pick up 69 loaded salt hoppers at Hoosick Junction for the return trip. Too bad the third unit (red) isn't next to the lead unit -- I suppose some creative attempt at photoshopping could have shamefully paired them up -- but six engines on the B&R is a treat !!
